Its a test for cervical cancer, you need to have one every 2 years after your 18

you lay down with your legs parted, and they have a metal toothed comb that they scrap on your vaginal wall to collect cell samples. They then test these and they tell you the results

they are very uncomfortable, it takes a while to get used to, but you should NEVER put them off, as they could save your life!

It is a test that your doctor does to check for signs of cancer of the cervix

It's a pelvic and cervical exam.

The doctor will check for any abnormalities that may be a result of cancer, fibroid cysts, infection, etc.

It can be uncomfortable, but it's not that bad. Not everyone will feel the same discomfort. It depends on how sensitive you are and how gentle your gynocologist is with his/her instruments.

Whenever you have one, you should feel free to ask your doctor to explain the procedure, and you should also be able to ask any medical related questions you have.

It is a test that tests for abnormalities in cervical cells. This means any abnormalities. It can detect cancer cells as well as other conditions that can cause cervical cancer such as HPV(human papillomavirus) and other viral infections. It is an extremely important test to have done either when you become sexually active, turn 18 or have any medical reason you think you need to be seen. Hope this helps!
