Can tetracyclines cause tooth discoloration in adults?!

Question: Can Doryx (Doxycycline, a tetracycline) cause discoloration in adult teeth? If so, how long can I take this Rx before discoloration would set in? I don't want gray teeth!

I believe it can & it can also cause birth defects so use birth control if that's still a possibility

no ure teeth are done growing - they won't discolor

I would think it could cause discoloration after use for 6 months or more - ask your dr when you get a chance or call your pharmasist.....

yes it does not matter your age, also they suggest you not drink grapefruit or orange juice.you really should read the insert that comes with the drug from the pharmacy,it tells a lot.

no it only causes birth defects and tooth discoloration in children
