Getting your tonsels out?!?!?!?!?!?!

Question: I am freakin' scared. I know I have to get my tonsels out. My mom had blood all over her when she got hers out. Please be positive, but when you got yours out,
1)How long did it take?
2) How old were you?
3) What was the aftermath?
4) Any other things I should know about?
Thanks

Ok. Well, I actually haven't had mine out, but I took care of my sister when she had hers out, so I can answer all your questions. 1) It took her 2 weeks to fully recover. 2) She was 13. 3) She didn't feel sore for several days after the operation, then she got very sore, and had to stay home from every thing. 4) Be careful what you eat. It could reopen the scab that will form. All in all, this operation is basic routine thing and should help you in a lot of ways. My sister is fine and has nothing wrong now. You will be fine! : ) It's quite normal to get jitters before an operation. Good Luck!
