Can smoking cigarettes reduce anxiety and nervousness?!

Question: I actually had a doctor tell me the following information a couple of weeks ago. Cigarettes are actually stimulants that make your own body create more seratonin to counteract the buzz. So in practice it is revving up your body expecting your bodies insticts to bring it back down. Thus a cigarette smoker getting the shakes when they need a smoke. So to answer your question no they don't reduce anxiety they actually increase it and as a smoker that needs to quit they ain't worth it don't smoke.

HAHAHAHAHA NO IT DOES NOT. it may temporarily but then if you stop for even a minute it actually CAUSES you to get nervous and anxious and it eventually starts convincing your body that you need another cigarette...don't smoke kids.

People think it calms thier nerves. but really, its bad for the nervous system and makes you ever more of a nervous wreck when you feel you need a cigarette. So...NO

no. usually after you first smoke for about a week, you get very addicted from the nicotine and get very nervous and can't stop smoking.

i sure wouldn't want to find out if it does because you would get addicted to it and it would cause more stress because then you will often may need another one.
Get into a quiet place and meditate about peace and love or perhaps drink chamomile tea

Smoking is totally bad for you and causes cancer! I see no point in smoking anyway! It's stupid
