HealthNet prescription copayment questions?!
Question: I have HealthNet and at my first visit with one of their doctors I was prescribed three medications. My HealthNet plan type is 2. The Evidence of Coverage book says that for my plan type there's a $5 copayment (for 30 day supply) for generic prescription drugs, and $10 copayment (for 30 day supply) for preferred drugs (brand drugs I guess). Two of my prescriptions are brand drugs, and the last one is a generic drug.
My first question is do I pay $25 total per month, or am I misunderstanding something? My second question is can I ask the pharmacy to give me the generic versions? My last question is if I refuse to get one or two of my prescriptions at the pharmacy do I have to pay for them anyways?

At a pharmacy, I assume you want a generic unless you tell me otherwise. If you don't want a prescription, than you don't pay for it. I keep the medication, and so, it is not a big deal. You have a very good insurance drug plan, by the way. Your monthly cost will be $25. You can ask if there is a similar drug to the brand ones which is generic.
