It was used years ago. but has no use in modern man

this is a organ which isnot important to a human ,animals and insects use them humans can get their appendics out wen in extrem pain

no use.

It is considered as useless, but until we know their real purpose we won't know why it is there. Everything is there for a purpose right?

It's no longer needed now although it did perform a function associated with the alimentary canal in that it helped digest leaves which primates ate; with evolution its use has become redundant.

Apparently, the only creature which has a use for it is the rabbit!

It has no obvious use. It could be a throw back to our primate ancestors.

It has no use. People can die when their appendix bursts because it can cause peritonitis and abscesses. Peritonitis is a deathly infection that happens when the bacteria in your appendix leaks into the other parts of your body.
