Is it normal to have to pop your ears EVERY time you swallow?!

Question: For years now, I've had to pop my ears to be able to swallow anything. Is this normal? And could it be detrimental or cause hearing loss?

My ears make popping sounds when I swallow, but I don't force them to do that. As I swallow there's a few tiny pop sounds in each ear, it's totally normal.

I've had Ear, Nose & Throat Doctors for years and they have affirmed this for me since this used to be a concern of mine.

However, if you have to physically force your ears to pop in order to swallow you should definitely see a doctor. You could have serious issues with your ear canals, TMJ, or other sinus issues.

mine do.
