What is Doxylamine succinate , does it give you bad hangovers , I know it's !

Question: Why isn't it on erowid.com

Answers: Why isn't it on erowid.com

Doxyalamine is an anti-histamine -- like benadryl.

It's ACTUALLY an allergy pill, but it's a first-generation anti-histamine, and so it makes people drowsy... that's why it's used in most over-the-counter sleep medications or night-time cold/flu medications.

It won't necessarily give you a bad hangover, but, it can make you drowsy the first time or two that you take it -- if you don't allow yourself enough time to sleep.

A tip to the wise (and thrifty). If instead of buying the medication (doxyalamin or diphenhydramine) in the cold/flu or sleep aisle at the pharmacy, you went over to the allergy medicine aisle, you'd get the same medication for literally half the price.

Why?

Because drug manufactures think that people are stupid, and will pay for something -- becuase they won't read the lables... becuase it's supposed to work for a certain purpose... but, doxyalamine (like diphenhydramine) is a first generation anti-histamine (allergy medication), both are available over the counter -- both are used in sleep medications (and priced twice as high), and are each available as stand-alone allergy medications (at half the price).
