Alternative to getting high.?!


Question: is there anything that will make today better...... aside from harmful stuff like getting high NO matter how bad i want to.

yeah... desperately depressed... i really want outta reality but i don't see that happenin soon.

I've been smoking doobies, marijuana, since 1965. I have a prescription for it now and can grow my own and can buy it and have a permit for it. I've tried to stop and I have but I get really tense and often nauseous. With it I feel better and my blood pressure is better and I have fewer cramps and it just relaxes me. (mellows me out as they used to say in the 1960's :-)

It's not for everyone and you have to be comfortable with a certain amount of floating sensations. My mom never liked it after she tried it. The whole trick is to take minimal doses. A puff or two and you should be fine. More than that and you'll feel odd, possibly paranoid in the first few years, might get the famous "munchies", and it's just better to do it as little as possible, plus it costs less that way too.
With me I feel it going straight to my brain stem at the back of my neck and then I feel good for a few hours. Sometimes I can go a whole day on a hit or two and sometimes I need a booster at 4:20, about.
The other thing would be to get a mountain bike and after the few grueling month you'll get to like it and if you ride for 15 miles straight you'll get an endorphin high which is natural but like a morphine shot, I'm told. But you'll get a natural high from that and I did it for many years and it was a lot of fun and you get to meet new people if you have a bike path locally. But a good mtn bike is $1,000. Drugs are cheaper for the first 2 years but if you ride a mtn bike for MORE than 3 years it works out to be cheaper than drugs and way good for you too.
Try the bike first and if that doesn't work for you try doobies.

I just thought of one more thing that you could try tomorrow and it's cheap and not a drug. Chamomile capsules or camomile tea. This will relax you and mellow you out too. Don't take too much or you'll go to sleep. One capsule to start should be fine.

For depression take L-tyrosine, a natural amino acid. St. John's Wort too, if you're not on blood pressure pills. Mtn biking will also get you out of depression b/c the excercise will perk you up and you'll be meeting new people and you'll feel great.

There you go. EVery possibility. Now you just have to try it out. Try Camomile first and then the mtn bike and either way take Tyrosine.

Sleep. Sleep can be an effective coping mechanism after a really crappy and stressful day. Go to sleep and you'll feel better in the morning when you wake up.

crying actually realieves stress causing cells from your body causing you to feel better! or you can count your blessings i know it sounds stupid but it actulally gets your mind off how bad you might have it rigth now! or writing always works for me!

try doing something fun like hanging with friends or chatting to them on the phone. Getting high is NOT good and neither is depression. You do know that a lot of people care about you, right?? There will always be someone there for you.

I read all the responses so far and good grief, is that all you people can come up with? I guess I would feel just as bad after reading this crap! Look, without Jesus the Christ you have pain, despair, want, confusion, questions, loss and a hole you can drive a truck through! Without him and the truth, you will have only the same thing no matter what you and others try and it's hopeless! All of you are worth so much more and you cheapen yourselves and run, but running only makes you tired! Go ahead, keep on running and soon you will run out!

Reality is essentially what U make it. U've not said what U're age is, but I can tell U that getting high is NO WAY 2 go. I'm not some total straight laced dude. I used 2 get stoned on pot, I've tried coke and morphine and LSD, all I do now(I'm 48)is have 1 vodka martini when I get off work, and I do smoke(1 pack/3days), but being an atheist, I finally decided I would have NO GOD AND NO MASTERS over me, that included DRUGS! So 4 me it was the strength of my convictions that finally helped me. By the the way, I've been drug free for the last 25 years. I sincerely wish U good fortune in U're future decisions. Remember, this IS the ONLY LIFE WE HAVE, MAKE IT COUNT 4 SOMETHING!! Christians have said 2 me, "If life has no meaning 2 U, what do U use 2 give U'or life meaning?" @ this I reply: "If life has no meaning, then it's up 2 U 2 go out and give YOUR LIFE and EVERYBODY U come in contact with @ give it meaning!!!

im a bit outta reality atm lol. but i dun think there is anything that will take you away other then getting high.
