It tickles
I like blinking. It feels warm and moist, and soothing, against my eyes. Blinking lubricates the eyes with natural tears through contact with the eyelids. And the eyelids shield the eyes from the air, producing a slightly warm, soothing sensation. It's a beautiful thing. Also, if you concentrate on what it looks like in between blinks, it's like watching the individual clips of a movie - the movie of your life. I've thought a lot about blinking, and how it feels. Again, I love it.
Then again, I get chronically dry eyes, and mine are also very sensitive to dry air too. So I'm probably special in my especially strong enjoyment of blinking, and appreciation of this question.
