Yeh & how about the Doctors who sit there & tell you to loose weight & theyr bigger than you, lol.

i'm still laughing.you are so damn right!

Obviously, Opticians in some ways need to wear glasses, so they can give advice etc..

Dentists I agree with you.

this is a pukka question & one i'll be watching as you are so right there-have a star pmsl

Well, optician wise, there's no real cure for bad eyesight apart from laser correction and a lot of people can't get that, or won't because the long term effects aren't known. And pretty much nobody has good breath, unless you exist on a diet of mint leaves it's never going to be very nice.

Opticians get satisfaction out of helping fellow 'four eyes' people and bad breath dentists are basically saying 'don't end up like me' lol

Well, I can't say about the dentists, but why shouldn't opticians wear glasses? Glasses are an optical solution... not something that needs correcting.

If anything, an optician whose own eyesight is corrected by glasses/contacts is in a better position to advise their patients, no?

lmao i understand the optician, but the dentist, what a hypocrite =P

Opticians and dentists are still human. Why shouldn't they wear glasses or have bad breath? Thy worked hard for their jobs! My dentist wears a mask over his nose and mouth so i can't smell his breath. Perhaps that's because mine smells??!

It goes back to the old saying, "Physician heal thyself". Jeez, I sure have a lot of old sayings. But seriously, just because an optician is in that profession, doesn't rule out that he or she does not have to wear glasses. In fact, it's probably good advertising for an optician to wear glasses.

As for the dentist with bad breath, I've never noticed it with my dentist because he always wears a face mask when treating patients. This is a sound sanitary practice among dentists. But there again, there is nothing to preclude a dentist from having bad breath, because halitosis often stems from a systemic disorder such as poor digestion or something he may have eaten. It doesn't mean that he doesn't brush. In fact, I think most doctors and dentists and other health care pros practice what they preach.

Opticians wear glasses because they know how bad contact lenses can be for most people. they are also in the business of selling spectacles at great profit!
I have not ever noticed thr dentist having bad breath - but it can be uncomfortable just being so close to a heavy breathing stranger whom you don't particularly fancy!!! You are very aware of their breath - but it's not really always bad - just there in your face!

Irony

We coulld have been an Optician or Dentist if we had worked harder and we would still have same eyes and teeth!!

I doubt any self respecting optician would countenance Lasiz treatment. heralds, after all, the pending demise of the opticians' profession!

As for dog breath, that is much more common than you might think! It has nothing to do with oral hygeine, no matter what the marketeers would have us believe! The way to avoid such problems is to eat small snacks between meals.

The nasty niff originates from the acids in your stomach, with nothing to dissolve and ferment! Eat and they tend to disappear!

You're generalizing, opticians do know the value of eye-care, so will wear glasses if they need them. Dentists I deal with always wear a face mask [ obviously ] so how would you know they had what you call 'bad breath' ?

Good question, a bit like the decorator whose house wants painting or the gardener who lives in a jungle, as for the optician, what you pay
