Is this bad? Hearing loss question?!

Question: I'm mild deaf but when i went on this site here: http://hcd2.bupa.co.uk/fact_sheets/Mosby...

It said Mild = 25-39dBHL

I'm not quite sure if this is bad or not? But whoever knows out there, is it pretty bad or not? I do have to wear hearing aids but i can also hear without them, thanks.

If you wear hearing aids, your hearing loss has been diagnosed by an audiologist (hearing doctor), and surely they gave you some information and advice. I too have a mild hearing loss, but I go unaided (I just don't like aids) No one can tell you whether or not it is bad, except yourself. Yes there are people who hear better than you, but also people who hear worse. It really depends on how much your hearing loss affects your life (like can you hear in class well enough to learn, or if you can follow your friends conversations) and you attitude towards your hearing loss. If you are a positive person, you can see the hilarity in your miss-hearings. If you are truly worried about your hearing, ask your audiologist about it. They will be happy to explain your questions. Good luck!

My friends loss is between 90 and 100 her hearing loss is classed as severe so 25 would be considered mild.
