Honestly. You grow from the outside, in. Or at least that's what my neighbor who has four kids says. He always knows they're getting ready for a growth spurt when they outgrow their shoes.
You also will notice you're REALLY hungry a lot, and sleeping a lot just before.
As for a specific date or age...that varies according to so many variables, and usually, there isn't just one. It goes on for about five years. In spurts...hence the term.
varies per person, its based on your genetics. i didnt have a major growth spurt until my senior year. went from what seemed 5'8 to 5'10. I guess that due to the fact that my boyfriend during the time was eye to eye with me but now when i see him I look down on him.
