Something must have stirred your unconscious for you to have such an unsettling dream - it's not unusual to be tired out by such dreams particularly if they are emotional disturbing, remember it's affecting your sleep and rest! It may or may not help to try to figure out what it is that has brought up past memories so you can maybe put your current experience into context, just don't tire yourself out dwelling! Sometimes it can be an indication that something in the present is reminding us of the past, and it's not always crystal what it is but it's not abnormal.

just cry maybe its just what you needed maybe your hiding your feelings dreams are what are on the mind.

I have experienced the same. Not reduced to tears but put me in really bad mood and really affected my day. I did look into it too deeply rather than dismissing it as just a dream. Dreams can be trying to tell you something from your subconscious but shouldn't make you feel like sh**** the next day. Try and view it constructively. Maybe it is trying to warn you not to make the same mistakes.
All the best.

No as my past is resolved, so I just look to the future.

Yes, its very exhausting. Pamper yourself today, before you go to bed have a hot bath/shower and an early night, hopefully you won't have the same dreams tonight and feel better tomorrow x

yes hon.
very normal.
dreaming is just a way for the brain/mind to cope with things, give them a place, relive them a little, deal with them, work through them.

you will feel better tomorrow and you will feel better knowing you (subconciously) have dealt with a few issues from the past which will now not bother you so much any longer in the future.

just let it be, cry, take a deep breath, drink some water, go for a walk, help some people in need to make yourself feel better and have a good sleep tonight.

you will feel miles better in the morning, promise.

I think it's normal. Often I can not get my dream out of my head for the next day, and that then affects my performance at work.
