I have a sore stomach and I dont know whats wrong with me.?!

Question: Ok for the past few days (Since Wed, its now Sun) I have been feeling nauseus and really bloated. My stomach gets really sore and I wanna be sick but I actually havent been sick.

The pain is usually in my stomach, more towards my left side (so not my appendix) but yesterday I could feel some pain in my ribs for a little while as well.

The pain comes and goes, but when it comes its really sore and uncomfortable, so much so that I sometimes cry.
Pharmacist gave me tablets for nausea and bloatedness, but unhelpful.
Hopefully going to doctors on Tuesday tho if i get time off from work.

I got sent home on Sat and had to call in sick today.
Nurofen is not working and I dont feel its such a big deal that I need to call NHS24.
Has anyone got any ideas what could be wrong with me?
Im not pregnant.

Phone NHS direct if you are in the UK. they are NOT an emergancy number, and are there to give advice on ANYTHING medical. So they are really helpful. It doesn't need to be terrible for you to call them. If they think that its ok to wait, they will say so. But honestly, they are really good.

there are many many things that can cause abdominal pain, thats why doctors tend to take it so seriously. It may be an ovarian cyst, or gall bladder problems irritable bowel or any number of a hundred other things. Does it get worse when you eat something greasy? If so, it may be gallbladder. Regardless you need to see your doctor to really get to the bottom of it. It could be very serious.
