CEO asking for comments on planned Healthcare implementation for small company??!

Question: One of my board members suggested this too me. I want to put it to a board vote, but thought I would run it by the yahoo community first. The aim is to make sure my employees are ALL covered by healthcare. Here is the plan: Draft a healthcare plan and REQUIRE all new empoyees sign it AND CHOOSE the BEST plan that will MEET their needs. The draft will utilize Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina - a leading and highly rated provider in this area! The plan calls for the company to maintain the database of covered employees and suggest a VARIETY of healthcare options via BCBSNC. The employees in turn are mandated to arrange with Blue Cross the BEST healthcare plan for their needs ie: PPO of their choice or HMO should they choose, dental, vision, and prescription at the level the employee desires. Our company would not charge the employees for any coverage options. Is this a good plan?

I am on BCBSNC- through the North Carolina State Employees. and they are really good coverage.

Now they're dental options are really dumb.

I think you should offer them a tier coverage when the company is going to pay for it.
