Is there any "radiation poisoning" by having your PC open, in your roo!

Question: Do i damage myself by letting my PC open while i sleep?? I've heard every electric device is linked to radiation.

Is that a reason to close my PC while at home??

While closing your PC has benefits to the PC, leaving it open all the time poses no hazard to you. The amount of electromagnetism it would release is of really no more significance than other natural sources you give no thought to. You live in a sort of radiation soup anyway- with waves eminating from your cell phone, other wireless devices, your microwave and television- plus good old sunlight. Electrical devices are shielded to prevent escape of any real significant amounts anyway, and none of the studies have found that they pose any kind of elevated risk. So you are plenty safe. Your PC screen on the other hand, might like shutting down, and you'd get a bit longer life on the harddrive from letting it shut and cool down for a while. But either way, it will not impact you.

Your PC goes into "sleep" mode when not in use. Miniscule amounts of radiation are present, but not enough to ever do you any harm.

PC as in computer?
If your computer lets out any radiation it is not enough to do any harm to you.
I leave mine all the time. It never goes off unless it needs to be restarted or the power goes out.
Microwaves use a lot more radiation than a PC. If you're worried about any appliance in your house and radiation it's the microwave. But even that probably doesn't cause enough radiation to hurt you.

The radiation you get from the sun on a daily basis is a lot more.

People generally assume "radiation" refers to nuclear radiation.
There is nothing nuclear inside of your PC, microwave oven, or television/monitor. The only nuclear radiation present in the average home comes from your smoke detectors and maybe your wrist watch, but there is not enough there to even kill flies much less you.

It appears you're concerned about leaving your laptop open?
Don't worry about it!
If you're taking the cover off your desktop PC, put it back on.
The cover helps the fans to direct air where it needs to be to keep all your computer's innards at the proper operating temperatures.
