Hand swelling... what do you think caused it?!
Question: Yesterday I was walking my dog down by the river, it was a pretty warm and sunny day and he went for a swim and a trek through some rough terrain (his idea lol). any way. While we were walking my hand started to feel really itchy it was worse in my right hand, then they started stinging and aching as well as itching. It wasn't on the surface it felt like in the nerves. then my fingers swelled up really big. I din't know what it was, but it went away pretty quickly. any idea?

You were allergic to something that you touched or brushed up against. It happens to me if I go out in the woods....I hate it because I love to go and can't anymore as much. I take benadryl when that happens and it will go away. If it would ever get worse ( like both hands ) take 2 benadryl and if it gets worse go to a doctor or emergency room.
I had both hands swell up double size once and were itching really bad, went to doctor, sent me to emergency room for a shot.
Hopefully you don't have it like I do......miss the woods.
May be you were holding on something too long, or it could be something worse like a blood cloth consult a doc. or it could be just an allergic reaction.
