when you work out like that you are strssing the muscle or in ironpumpers terms you are tearing new muscles.it is not as scary as it sounds,it is normal, but do not overdue,ie:3 miles a day or every other day, when it hurts no more and is easier to do it then increase another mile.warm up before you start, increase slowly, and cool down properly,do not run then plop down, stretch, walk around till your heartbeat returns to normal.the best thing is when you get home draw a bath with or without lavender oil,or the johnsons baby calming wash, warm not real hot water.soak, then dry off and rub icy hot into your legs or use a moist heat wrap.it will get better, the pain is normal, just do not overdo.

Use a deep heating ointment like Ben Gay and drink lots of Gator aid type drinks. Dehydration often causes muscle aches and the combination of the two should have you back to normal over night

drink water and relax. have some banana's to prevent cramping

Well, this could be many things, it could be that your legs need more time stretching, less running, or you need a bit of a lifestyle change. What you can do is eat something with protein (a banana or a fruit dish.) You would need to drink a lot of fluids and get more rest, and maybe take s long bath to soothe your aching muscles.

When I was in college I worked for the women's basketball team and was learning deep tissue massages, I can give you one if you lived around here, we are friends after all.

Just soak in a hot tub , rest them and use a deep heating rub , it should subside in a day or two
