What medication can a doctor give a 13 year old with anxiety, stomach aches?!
Question: has she been diagnosed with anxiety?
the stomach pains come from the anxiety, so that isn't something totally separate, incase you were wondering.
i was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder when i was about 12.
i went to a counselor, which isn't even needed, but if your child likes, they certainly can.
and i was put on paxil. [which helps with depression, if your child has it, also.]
i took 80 mg. and it seemed to work really well.
if they take paxil, they may want to take it at night. it can make you drowsy at times, and there's nothin' like going to school sleepy!
paxil seemed to really work for me, and i hope it works for your child too. but you should really go with what your doctor thinks. and if he/she hasn't seen a doctor, they really need to.
i strongly advise it.
good luck! <3

Ask the doctor!
the kid needs therapy, first and foremost...if therapy alone does not help her, then a combination of therapy and meds may be in order.

My 12 year old takes Pepcid, which was prescribed by her allergist.
