EPILEPTIC FITs.. is it true that you smell gasoline before you have one????????!

Question: since i was 18 i began getting blackout spells.. which has only happened 3 times within 6 years.. the last one i had was 2years ago.

Normally before i blackout i smell gasoline, feel stomach pains, see black spots and then im gone.
....
but i was speaking with my friend about it the other day and shes convinced the smelling of gasoline is linked to epileptic fits and she believes i might become epileptic in the near future...
............could she be right??

i have been to the Docs and all they said was they have no idea why this happens to me.. they didnt even check me over, just sent me on my way.
So im on y/a to try and get some sort of answer, thanks to all who answer.

It's called an aura and it could be something experienced by any of the senses- taste, smell, hearing, sight etc.
You must go back to your doctor and insist on having further investigations.

my mum has epilepsy and she doesnt smell gasoline lol before a fit

you need to get a dctor to examin you

asking on here could put diluional ideas in ya head.

It is different with every person, smell perception is one type of epilepsy, a friend of mine can always smell bacon frying, when no one is cooking bacon, it depends on the type of epilepsy you have been diagnosed with.

Do you work in a gas station?
