Coughing/flem...after everything i eat...?!

Question: Everytime i eat something, i feel like theres flem in my throat...so i keep clearing it and coughing until it goes away, it lasts for about 30-40 min after everything i eat and its really annoying...i constantly feel like theres flem there so i keep coughing..ive had it for like a year now, and i went to my ENT doctor and she said it was a post nasal drip & allergies, ive been taking medicine & nose sprays and they werent helping, so my mother is thinking that its something else. My brother had this before too, and his went away...our Doctor said she thought he had acid reflux. Anyway...i just wanna be able to eat without something irratating my throat all the time. I cant even talk on the phone without clearing my throat or coughing...anyone know what this could be? & what should i take for it to clear up? thanks!

soundls like this also becaume an unconscoius habit, now whether there is a problem or not, you clear your throat. this happens sometimes after I have had a bad cold. to stop it, you just have to force yourself to not clear your throat... try sucking on cough drops... it will be annoying for a few weeks but then one day you just realize you are not clearing your throat all the time..

How about changing your eating style?

Have smaller servings of food in your mouth, chew very well, swallow several times before putting another morsel into your mouth and eat in an upright position.

It could simply be anatomical.
