Does anyone else have this? (scared) =(...?!
Question: I have swollen lymph nodes! one in my jaw, 2 in front of my ear (they start to get sore if i chew too much or too hard), 1 in my neck on the left side, one behind my right ear, and 2 in my neck on the left side. I went to a specialist and he said that 99% of the time they arent anything bad and that im fine and to never "self diagnose & freak out" i was tested for HIV and i was negative (more than 6 months after i had unprotected sex) but im still freaking out! i also went to a ENT and she said that i have a post nasal drip & allergies and that im so skinny that i could feel this little nodes & it could be from adolescents (they get bigger and then go normal) ive had them for about a year, and im really scared...its like the devil is trying to torment me!! ughhh...anyone else have or had this problem? im really scared :(

If you've been to more than one doctor and they havent found anything or dont seem worried , you really shouldnt, cause if there was something there that was dangerous to you, the ENT would have proceeded further with more test. I once had this lump, about the size of a boulder marble on the side of where a guys adams apple is located, it was there for many years, it moved around and some times felt sore but it was scarey so I went to a ENT specialist, he said it was a thyro glossal duct cyst and it never closed while I was an embryo, I finally had it taken care of, had to be put to sleep and they removed it, had grown a long ol tail o it after 12 yrs!! now I have a small scar across my throat but atleast its gone and it wasnt anything serious. dont worry about it unless it gets bigger or starts to hurt. and then again it never hurts to have a 2nd opinion.
if the doctor said you're fine, you're probably fine if you want get a second or even third opinion
