The migrains I have gotten last about 2 hours. I get them once every 6 months or so. There are times I think I have a migrain and it is actually my sinuses are extremely dry or full. I would check with your doctor to see if they are migrains and what might be causing them. They can prescribe you medication to help.
I used to get them a lot when I was younger but they have slowed down a lot. When I get them they last for several hours although I have had a migraine for three days before. I've learned to notice when they are coming on. I am able to control them before they get really bad.
I have gotten migrain headaches in the past. For me it ended up related to getting the shingles. Nasty!! But usually the headaches vary in length and intensity. They can be a sign that other things are wrong and should be checked out by a doctor and get tests run to rule out more nasty stuff.
