Wreck need info please?!
Question: I was in a bad wreck friday night i didn't come out with any bruises or anything but my head in the back....
my spine and skull meet was killing me. I went to the er and they xrayed everything and monday another doctor looked at everything and he saw a cervical sprain, another doctor looked today and they want me at a neuro spec. asap b/c i have torn ligaments in my neck and they want me in a brace. I don't know anything about this kinda stuff. I know I don't want to have surgery because I have a 1 and 5 yr old I raise on my own. What do I do? I'm worried! and just that thursday I was released from knee surgery talk about luck! what are my odds of surgery?

You may not need surgery at all. They are sending you to a neurosurgeon as a precaution and also because they see these type injuries often. It is always best to follow your doctors advice so that you won't have problems later. He may just put you in a brace until the ligaments heal. There is no way to know unless you see him. Also if you have to have surgery, it may be something that you can postpone for awhile. Write down all your questions ahead of time so that you can make sure they all get answered. Good Luck!
