What do you think of Olbas Oil!... would you recommend it to ease breathing? It !

Question: There are many uses for Olbas Oil but the main one is for releaving blocked sinuses, either on a handkerchief or by putting a few drops in hot water and then breathing in the aromas, I used it when in martial arts competitions, A drop on the finger and rubbed it just under my nose, helped me to keep my nasal passages clear.

It is also good for rubbing onto stiff muscles, aching joints and a drop placed inside your trainers once a week keeps the smells away, ha ha.

Also if you look at the pamphlet inside the box you will find other uses.

NOTE; Tiger Balm is also very good at but is a rub not a liquid.

I love Olbas Oil! :-) Just don't rub it near your eyes, that really really hurts :-) Just a couple of drops on a tissue and it clears you up brilliantly.

well when you need it, you can hardly smell it. That's the point. And rather something natural like that (eucalyptus / mint essential oils) than some nasty chemical stuff

It may pong, but it works very well.

I prefer Vick (smell of), but put on a paper handkerchief to inhale as it makes skin a bit sore.

Put a small dab on a piece of cotton wool, if you find that still too strong, wet the cotton wool first, then put a dab on it.
Another way to use it is to put a few drops in a bowl of boiling water, put a towel over your head and breathe in the smell, this works well too.

"Try a few drops in an oil burner" not as pungent, but it will help with your breathing, tried and tested(works fine) best if you got a decent metel oil burner though as it lasts longer, Breathe eazy, "Joe".

Hello Enigmatic J,

I am just recovering from a bout of flu and when I have a cold or breathing problem I always use Olbas Oil. I find it refreshing and very helpful in clearing sinuses, relieving a blocked nose, and clearing the ole head.

I also use a few drops in a small bowl of boiling water, cover my head and bowl with a towel and breath in its soothing vapour.

That helps a lot too.

True it is does not have the nicest aroma but if it does you good, its worth it.

If you are not too well at the moment, I wish you a speedy recovery.

Yeah its really good but don't get it any where near your eyes, it feels really weird!

Sprinkle it on a hanky. It will clear your head a bit.

It does stink but its good stuff. Whenever I get a blocked nose I cover my pillow in it at night. I alwauys wake up feeling much better.

Olbas Oil has truly magical qualities, i know because my dear old granny told me, when anyone in my family gets a sniffle or a sneeze then out comes the Olbas Oil, also you can put a few drops either on your pillow at night and on your hanky during the day, there is a story that if you have enough of it on your breath then it will beat a breath test, but i wouldn't risk that one. Did you know that it is also very good for stiff and aching joints, just rub a few drops in and massage well. Don't put it near anything else that is stiff because that is more painful than rubbing it into the eyes. LOL

i bail

it really works I love the smell Hugs
