Do I have Epilepsy?!

Question: I wrote that sometimes I just space out and ignore everything then usually my girlfriend slaps me out of it and I feel so dizzy and my eyes burn, on time I hit the back of my head really hard and I woke up on the floor and she told me I was spasming and twitching could this be epilepsy?

I'm only answering this because of the bombshell answer you got. Epilepsy confused with narcolepsy. Good thing you didn't inquire about being an alcoholic, as she might have told you to cut up your credit cards. (shopaholic vs alcoholic)hee hee!!! See an MD and get an exam. It's an in depth process of exams to rule out any other type of disorder that could be causing this. Research a little and see if applies to you...http://www.epilepsy.com. I'm just playing with ya Bombshell, it happens to the best of us.

Maybe a seizure caused by something else, but you should get checked out just in case. It could be something worse than epilepsy. Tumor, stroke, brain abscess.
A really mild epileptic seizure, petit mal, could go unnoticed and others may see you as just spacing out but convulsions are serious, you don't just,"fall asleep".(sorry miss bombshell)

No. Epilepsy is when you immediately fall asleep and go right into REM sleep. This means, if you were epileptic, you would fall asleep and instantly have very vivid dreams.

Epileptics also usually have trouble sleeping at night, and the spells are characterized by a lot of excitement/commotion or stress.

it is possible that it what you are explaining was a seizure, it is hard to say if it was an epileptic episode. However, this forum is not the best way to find that information. if you are having these symptoms on a regular basis, your best bet is to make a doctors appointment. Their are several different types of seizure disorders, and a doctor would be the best one to determine the type and propable cause.
