I think i have an eating problem...please help.?!

Question: Am i not eating enough?
breakfast= 1 cup of coffee

lunch= if ANYTHING its a can of diet soda

pre dinner snack= some kind of juice with some crackers

dinner= whatever mom fixed...lol.

night time snack= some kind of juice, crackers OR a small sandwich

is this not enough? i mean i'm happy i've lost weight (gone from 137 to 121 in a little over a month) but will i continue dropping weight with eating like this?

i want to go down to 115 lbs...i'm 5'5...but not like this. i do light excersizes too...not even really 15 minutes a day...just crunches and leg lifts...

and the thing is...is that i USED to be anorexic...like 95lbs, but that was years ago!!

Not a healthy eating pattern. It is recommended that you eat 5 times per day. Each "meal" should consist of carbohydrates, protein, and fat. The key to having a healthy weight is to balance out the total amount that you eat through the entire day; so as to keep your metabolism on an even keel, as well as your blood sugar levels. Then you must balance the amounts of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats for each time you eat. It may sound like you are eating a lot of food by eating 5 times a day, but you won't be if you manage your portions correctly.

Doing a bit more exercise will also benefit you greatly. Running, roller blading, bicycling, aerobics, etc. for about 20-30 minutes a day would be great. Also you want to mix in a bit of weight lifting (not body building) into your exercise routine. As you build lean muscle tissue, that muscle tissue will then increase your metabolism rate, which will allow you to burn even more fat faster. Also that lean muscle will help out with how good your body looks and feels.

I would also stay away from those diet drinks and sugary items (ie: too much juice, crackers, bread, etc.) when you can. The artificial sweeteners are not the best for you and the sugars (yes bread is a type of sugar) don't do your blood chemistry very good. If you want to sweeten something without using sugar, then try using Xylitol. It is a natural sweetener without the calories or bad side effects of sugar.

I have never been overweight myself (I have always been active/athletic and eat well), but I have helped others to loose quite a bit of weight and to help bring diabetic/hypoglycemic conditions under better control.

Remember, that food is one of the most powerful drugs that you can put into your body.

I hope that this helps.

Oh, yes, drink lots of water throughout the day. this will help you burn the fat and will help in flushing out the impurities built up in your body.

Start eating 5 small meals a day... but they have to consist of more than diet coke. And also begin running 30-40 mins a day. the only healthy way to loose inches is to get it some quality cardio with a nutritious (existent) diet

I hope what mom fixes for dinner sounds more exciting than what you told us! I'm guessing now that you are asking this question is because you may be at your best weight now, or will be very soon. Don't ever go down to 95 again - Not only will you suffer, but you won't look very healthy at all.

I agree with Ms. Moose, eat as she advises. If you don't eat healthy you will damage your heart. If your heart fails then why even diet to look good if you won't be around to enjoy it!

you REALLY should start eating more. its not healthy not to.

hi friend ,

I was overweight and now I am no more because I came out from hospital and ALL DOCTORS SAID : "don't follow any diet program BECAUSE YOU CAN PROPERLY BALANCE YOUR MEALS SUCH AS : Morning : A cup or a bowl of coffee with one sugar or not, 4 toasts with a nut of butter and jam, one kiwi or orange and one cup of milk with bio mueslis and 3 glasses of water. For the lunch take vegetables with meat (not fat) -MICROWAVE GRILLED- one piece of cheese with bread and a season fruit and 2 glasses of water and a glass of red wine per day- french or else -and why not a cup of coffee- DINNER : vegetables 'soup (natural ones) , a natural yoghurt and apples' or pears' marmelade without sugar and 2 or 3 glasses of water - try to gear up your body health again- KEEP ON AND DON'T USE SNACKS

I don't see a problem. What do you think ?
