Round Shoulder?!?!


Question: Hi, i'm 15 and my shoulders are - and pretty much always have been, round and i really hate it. Is there any way/ exercises i can do to get the back to normal. I try to sit up straight etc. when i remember but i heard something about sleeping wothout a pillow?!?!

You can try rowing or if you can get to a pulley-weight machine that has a rowing bar, use that to do exercises that require contracting the trapezius muscles.

You can also do an exercise with free weight dumbells where you bend forward, place one hand on a bench or chair and do a one-arm rowing movement, pulling upwards.

And if that's not enough, you can try reverse "flys" - similar to the dumbell exercise except you lie face down on a bench and "flap your wings" (lift up until your arms are level with your back).

Now, if what you really have is "sloped shoulders", forget all of that. Instead do similar exercises while standing and lifting vertically, using the muscles that extend to the neck from the top of the shoulder (I forget the name).

Try lifting weights.
It's probably just the way your built.
I have very broad/wide shoulders. (i also hate it)
But you can't change your bone structure.
