I have serious body odor problems, Can anyone help me?!

Question: It's mainly in my armpits and feet. They both sweat a lot, and stink as my day goes on. I've tried the medicine deoderant that they sell at Kroger, but that doesn't work. My mom told me about one of her remedies she uses. In a baby powder container, I put a cup of salt, one cup of baking soda, and two cups of baby powder. After I shake it up to mix it together, I put it in my armpits and on my feet. It seems to be working (the salt drys up the sweat and the baby powder and abking soda keep it fresh) but it's starting to itch and turn red in those areas. Does anyone have any better ideas?

It is the trapped moisture that causes odor. Instead of a cup, perhaps decrease the amount of salt or eliminate salt in the mixture for a several days until the redness disappears.

? Wash and dry your laundry well, paying special attention to socks and the clothes' sleeve area; even better if you can hand wash these prior to putting in the washing machine.

? Wear fresh clothes everyday.

? Wear different shoes everyday in order to allow the shoes to dry overnight. If possible, place the shoes under indirect sunlight to thoroughly dry them.

? Thoroughly dry your feet prior to wearing socks and shoes.

? Change your clothes into fresh ones several times a day if you perspire.

you will have to get a prescription deodorant from your doctor that is made for excessive sweating like yours.

Change your diet. You may be sweating out a smell from one of the ingredients you eat.

Your doctor should be able to help you out. You should also make sure you have really good hygiene in the first place before pursuing strange holistic treatments, or prescriptions. I assume you already shower daily, but since you don't specify, I thought it might bear repeating the obvious. ;)

You should see your doctor. It could be a metabolic disorder.

Make sure you loofah your pits once and a while. Also, try different deos. I usually keep a few different kinds in my home. Preferably deo. for men they are stronger.

Feet never had an issue. are you using cotton socks? That should help. If not try odor eaters with the charcoal in them. That helps my step sons feet.

It could be the salt itching and burning. Use bag a balm before bed time in those areas to heal. Put socks on your feet keep the ointment on. Best of luck sounds painful.

You can buy a product called liquid chlorophyll at most health food stores. This acts as an internal deodorant. You may be reacting to something you eat, so try eliminating suspicious foods to see which ones make you stink. I hope you get over this soon, but remember that your human value has nothing to do with your odor.

Surgically remove your sweat glands. It can be done.
