Is it time for a liver blood test?!
Question: I'm 23 yrs. old...and have been drinking alcohol everyday for about 4 yrs...probably about 5-6 beers a day...but on the weekends i have a little bit more...i'm worried about my liver, but the doctor said that my liver can handle these amounts at my age, but didn't reccomend that i drink it...should i get tested or am i ok for a couple more years

I would get baseline liver function panel done. The more compelling question is why are you not admitting you are an alchoholic and seaking treatment for that? Denial, is symptom #1.
You are probably ok for your age. If you get something else like Hep C it will really mess up your liver with drinking combined. Make sure to practice safe sex. You get Hep C the same way you get AIDS.
You should be worried.
At a minimum I bet you are diagnosed with a fatty liver. it's a precursor to cirrhosis and liver disease. Ask for some blood tests to show your liver enzymes.
If you don't believe me ask your MD. And BTW: quit boozing - or drastically slow down.
