What are my rights - lethal combo?!
Question: I recently went to the doctor's office after exposure to chicken pox. I've never had them nor the vaccination. My principle insisted that getting the vaccination would make the symptoms less severe if I did get them. The nurses at this office agreed. Before getting the vacciantion I asked if it would be ok with my other medications. The nurse replied, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure." and gave me the vaccination. I started having high fevers this week and I called my pharmacist. My pharmacist told me that one of my medicines combined with the vaccination can lead to a more severe case that can be fatal. I'm calling my doctor this morning to be seen. Is there anything that I can do about the recklessness of this nurse? I specifically told her the medicines I was on and asked her if combining them would be ok (I can't take a lot of things because of bad combos). I know mistakes happen, but I just feel really upset right now!

talk to your doctor about it and document, document, document and talk to a lawyer.
