If I take melatonin every night is that bad for me?!

Question: No. They were just talking about melatonin yesterday on my favorite morning radio show, Cathy & Judy on WGN radio (Chicago). They happened to have a drug specialist answering questions about it, and she said melatonin is perfectly safe to take every night. It isn't harmful and you cannot become dependent on it. All melatonin does is tell your brain that it's dark outside and time to sleep. Hope it works for you!

Not if taken as directed by the directions on the bottle. Melatonin is a natural substance made in your brain.

If over 3 mg, yes.

If not, not at all. It's a natural chemical that your body produces that just helps you sleep.
