Why do I hear a high pitched tone that isn't there?!
Question: Sometimes I hear a high pitched tone (always an E note) that doesn't really exist, mostly in one ear but it can be in either one or both. The tone can become loud enough to make it difficult to understand what people are saying. It lasts between 30 seconds and 2 minutes and happens 2 or 3 times a week at most.

i think it's called tinnias or something (not TINNIA btw lol) try googling it see what you can find. I get it sometimes just faint, but some people get it all the time, esp when you get older.
Maybe go see a doc and see whats going on, might be the best bet.
