women need about 20g
men need about 30g

toddlers and kids need their age plus 5....so a 3 year old needs 8 grams

Really depends on your body type and how much you exercise. But generally, it is the biggest part of the food pyramid.

no offence, or anything, but fibre is not the biggest part of the food pyramid (to the comment below... or above, whatever)

in grams, you should be aiming to eat 38 grams if you are a man, and 25 if you are a woman.

Who cares, the more the better. You can't go thru life worrying about grams. Nobody knows for sure what a gram of food is anyway.

It'd be hard to eat too much fiber. Too little, easy; too much, hard.
