Is there a way to cure OCD without seeing anyone?!

Question: I think that i have OCD
I have all the symptons like having rituals and if broken need to be repeated and hand washing ALOT.
I don't want to see a doctor or pschychiatrist though
Is there a way to cure it or make the symptons ease a bit without seeing someone?

Of course. I have had problems with being obsessive compulsive, but all you have to do is use willpower to overcome this. When I was a kid, I'd vacuum one room for an hour straight because I felt like I could not get EVERY nook and little cranny clean. I'd break out in a sweat stressing out about it. There were other obsessive compulsive things I dealt with too. I just had to talk myself through things like that, use logic, tell myself that it isn't going to hurt anything in any way if I don't do this ritual. You won't completely break the habits right off the bat, but just keep telling yourself that you don't have to do this, nothing and nobody will suffer for it, and it's all in your head. Good luck. OCD is freaking annoying.

i really can't give you an answer. i can just give my advice from personal experience- you may want to think about seeing a psychologist. Psychologists are not able to prescribe medications and many times (i'm not discriminating against psychiatrists at all!) more willing to help you creat ways to overcome your issue. i am not a doctor, but simply another person suffering from a similar situation- and this is the only thing that has begun to help me. i tried to overcome such things by myself for years and that only made it worse. please think about seeking a non-bias psychologist to help you work through everything.
