Is a Chiropractor considered a "Physician" ?!

Question: No...he is a Chiropractor, not a doctor. Apples and oranges!!
A chiropractor manipulates the body. That is all. He cracks joints and twists muscles to obtain a certain objective.

A chiropractor went to chiropractic school. A doctor has gone to medical school for many many more years and then internship, etc, etc, has taken a state medical exam and passed, and thus he has earned the "MD" (medical doctor) initial after his name. A "doctorate" degree from a university is the highest degree an individual can earn, no matter what subject it is earned in. He has earned it in medicine.

I'm not sure whether a chiropractor can earn a doctorate degree. If he can, he will surely use some initial after his name indicating he has a doctorate degree.

Helps?

I am an RN

yep

If he is an M.D or D.O

Not legally unless he/she went to med school

Not unless they have a D.O. or an M.D.

My b/f is a medical student. He said all of the doc's at the hospital make fun of chiropractors calling themselves physicians.

well maybe they are not doctors but I consider mine a natural doctor. she has many homeopathic and other natural things, such as one time I had an earache and she gave me a homeopathic medicine for it.

She is well educated, besides having a degree in chiropractic she's a CSP (certified sports physician), a QME (qualified medical evaluator) and is certified by the state of California to do disability examinations.

She is the specialist when it comes to spinal injuries. Of course many people still insist on seeing an Md when they hurt their back.
