Bad habits die hard?!
Question: ive been biting my nails for about ten years, and i can not stop for anything. Ive tried several things, and was unsuccesful. Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what can i do to stop biting them....

My best plan is to think about it all the time.... dont wonder off .... just remind yourself by it all the time....
keep notes... reminders.... posters....

i hella bit my nails and even when it hurts soO bad as if my fingers are gonna fall off. i still keep on bitting and i dont how to stop so im with you on this. and i love bitting my skin and chewing on it so yeah.
I've actually gotten worse now. I know though that I have Pica, but am too ashamed to tell my doctor. I chew my nails lots and swallow them, or clip my nails swallow the skin and clipping. I chew my hair lots too and pull it out and twirl it in my mouth. I suck my fingers. While I have quit in the past, it really requires a concious effort on my part to not do these things.
I have to chew gum and not think about it and it helps a little but not lots.
I hope you can find some distraction to help you.
