Things to take for joint pain?!

Question: such as glucosamin chondroitin

Answers: such as glucosamin chondroitin

....I am 49 and have wondered about this product.I met a carpet layer about my age, and asked him if being on his knees all the time had taken it's toll. Emphatic yes. He said that he had started taking that supplement about 2-3 years ago. The first 60 days, he did not notice any difference, but after that, he swore by it. He said it really made a difference.I'm sold. Also anti-inflamatory prevention with the usual over the counter products like ibupropen (200) mgs, if the doctor gives the go ahead.Acetominophen is hard on your liver, and only works on the symptom, not the cause.Or possibly a 80 mg aspirin if the doctor gives the OK.Alleve is too strong to take as a preventative measure every day.It is a good product if you already have inflamation.I am not sure how long you coud take it.My doctor told me that Tylenol and Ibupropen "dove-tail" well together.....just not for proplonged periods of time.I tried it , and of course ,he was right. Also , check on food products for diet to help .Omega 3,6 &9 supplements are very good for you.Regular exercise of the joints is key to keeping them in shape as long as you do not have some type of injury.Heat pads, ice pads.....menthol cremes like Icy Hot or Bengay.........running is probably not a good idea .hope this helps......again, check with your doctor on everything.........

Ice packs are also good for joint pains.
