How do you cope with stress?!

Question: Eliminate stress-toxins through crying or sweating them out.
Find a place that relaxes you, and go there regularly.
Finish work, and then start something different each day.
Do lots of laughing. Then do some more.
Don't do any work before you go to bed.

Best of all, and it sounds like a dumb one, get a worry box, and put your worries down on paper in the box. Then allocate a time each week to deal with them. By the time this eventually comes around, most of them will be gone anyway. TRUE!

As a mental health professional with 20+ years experience, now retired, I can tell you that going for a walk has wonderful effects on releasing your stress, and is cheap and easy too. Don't make it a big athletic thing. Just go enjoy a walk, with some "pep" in the middle part of the walk in order to get your heart and lungs pumping a bit, and then slow down as you're beginning to head towards home so your muscles won't get too stiff or cramp when you stop. And don't include any chore with it either, like walking the dog. You can walk the dog some other time, but the walk I'm talking about is to be strictly a walk for YOU, and your stress release. Over my clinical experience, I've found it work to reduce anxiety and depression in all my patients who would walk as I said. It'll do you good too. Dress as warm as necessary this time of year. God Bless you.
