Does anyone know about bone grafts?!


Question: My 7 year old nephew has just had a bone graft from his femur to his mouth ( he was born with a cleft lip and pallette). Has anyone any knowledge on how long it takes to recover , or any useful info?

You should check out the links below for general information.
I know that the typical follow-up time for bone grafting surgery is 24 months, however I believe that significant healing should have occurred within the first 6 months.

    had a bone graft when I had my lower spine fussed 14 months ago only just healed still hurts when its cold and damp out side hope he gets well soon
    It takes around 14 months to heal
