Question: I'm fourteen and I'm getting my tonsils out this weekend and i just want to know
1.if it hurts and how bad.
2. How long you stay at the hospital
3. Does it feeel better once you get them out?
4. How long does it hurt for?
and i know this is weird but
5. You can like get up after the surgery to pee and stuff, right?

I was four years old when I had my tonsils removed. I can still remember having a bad sore throat for about a week. I ate alot of cold things to soothe my throat. (ex: vanilla ice cream, jello, applesauce, vanilla pudding, popsicles, etc.) For my meals, I ate scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, etc. As for how long you'll be in the hospital, I don't know. Probably just a few days. Once your sore throat goes away, you will feel so much better. I'm not sure how long after your surgery you'll be able to get up & use the restroom, but it may be by dinner time. They get patients up so much sooner than they used to. I can blame you for being nervous, but it's a piece of cake & you'll do just fine, as long as you follow the doctor's instructions.
i do not know but my 8 year old god brother had his taken out he said it wasn't really bad. You get to eat a lot ice cream.
i haven't gotten them out, bt my brother did a long time ago.
1. they put you to sleep, so you don't feel anything.
2. you only stay until it's over, and they know your health is back and up.
3/4 it hurts for about a week. he coudln't talk, he just wrote everything down on paper, and ate ice cream all the time
