Answers: momy not sleep good an iwant helop her with sleps!!!

is this REALLY for mommy or for you? be careful with prescription drugs. perhaps just look through the cupboards at home. sometimes mommy has alcohol and it works just as well.

you need to get off the computer...its past your bedtime

She would have to see her doctor. They will know what will be best for her and her body.

I don't know about Lunesta, but I know that Ambien works. It works too well. My son's grandmother is addicted to them and I have actually seen her in the middle of eating...she will fall asleep with food in her hand and hanging out of her mouth sitting upright in her recliner! She will be sound asleep. She has fallen asleep on the phone with me before when she was on them...and I just have to hang up. It's a shame. She's such a loser drug addict. I have never taken sleeping pills..too afraid they will kill me. I suggest if you've never taken or mom has never taken then get something not as strong as ambien or lunesta..just get something over the counter and only take half a dose to see your reaction.

I would have to say to try the lunesta before you resort to using Ambien. Lunesta is more mild than Ambien and it also allows the person to wake up if need be. Where as in Ambien makes it difficult to wake up until a full 8 hours later. I would caution though that Lunesta does have the ability to be abused by patients and can have side effects including next day drowsiness, mild headache, swollen tongue or throat, bad taste in mouth, and the possiblitiy for dependecy. Talk to your Doctor before using any kind of perscription medication. When you see the Doctor explain if this person needs to be awake some times in the middle of the night (if they have a small child) or if they are on any other medications. Good luck with that.

Hi. Lunesta or Ambien are both prescription drugs that only a doctor can prescribe. Lunesta, I understand is not habit forming. Ambien, however can be habit forming.

Two other ideas would be to go to your local pharmacy and look for Benedryl (or the generic, Diphenhydramine) ItIt is found in the section where you buy medicine for stuffy and runny noses. It is an antihistamine that is for runny noses, but antihistamines generally will make you sleepy, so it is also used to help sleep. It comes in 25 mg. capsules. You can take up to 2 before bed. Take it about 1 hour before you plan to go to sleep. Give it a try.

Also, in the vitamin section, look for a bottle of Melatonin 3 mg tabs. Melatonin is a hormone that your brain naturally gives off as the sun goes down and it induces that "sleepy" feeling. Some folks don't produce enough, or their sleep cycle has been interrupted. Take one (no more than two) tablets before bed.

Mom should go to bed the same time each night and be sure she gets 8 hours sleep each night, no less.

Before bed she could take a warm bath if she can, read, and not do anything except relaxing things.

Good luck
