Does anyone know anything about title 19?!

Question: I am17 and living with family friends. I used to be covered by title 19. But suddenly I've been denied it. And during the worst time ever. I have been sick in bed with the flu or maybe mononucleosis also known as mono.it's been one day shy of a week since I got sick and I don't know what to do. When I get up my fever goes up to about 104.8 and yesterday when I tried to shower I blacked out. I've only vomited a total of two times but the feeling that I have to is always there. I have no appetite. I force myself to eat but can only eat a little at a time. The family I am staying with can't afford to pay for my doctor bills and I can't either. Until I get some kind of medical help I'm stuck here in bed. I'm sick of being sick. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do. Or do you know anything about title 19?

Thanks!

Title 19 describes grants given to States for medical programs thru Social Security...so I'm not sure how you would be covered unless you're receiving some type of social security or disability benefits.
If your that unfortunate, perhaps signing up for Medicaid will help to avoid the situation you're in in the future. As for now - I don't think you're quite reading your thermometer correctly as 104.8 is a little extreme and I don't think you'd be sitting on the computer with that kind of temp. In regards to your sick feelings - the flu isn't vomiting and loss of appetite...that is just a common misconception. Mono is a possibility, but that is something that MUST be taken care of with a physicians help or you could end up seriously ill and rack up a lot more than a couple of medical bills.
No matter what, a hospital must treat you if you enter the emergency room - and most will work with you if you advise them that you do not have insurance and will set up payments. Hell, if worse came to worse, just don't pay the bill.

You do need to get this taken care of though --- and with a doc's help --- please don't let the illness fester until there isn't a choice any longer. Good luck to you - feel better soon :)

you need to get out of the states. Health care really sucks here. Watch the movie sicko. Go to canade or mexico

go to the emergency room, they cannot deny you help, and they can help you get on a payment plan, low monthly payments, usually about 25 dollars a month.
