Yes, it would ..and if you have been given antibiotics to take as well then you have to try to eat something as well as drinking all the fluids you can manage. A slice of lightly toasted bread with just a scraping of butter or spread should not be too heavy on your stomach, especially if you nibble at it rather than trying to eat it all at once. Chicken soup, with or without noodles, but a broth not a cream of chicken..is always good for you and you can make it yourself with chicken stock cubes..one to half a pint of boiling water..and eat it alone or with dry toast. Dry ginger ale is also a good invalid food/drink..not the diet kind..let it go flat if you find that easier to stomach....flat cola will make you feel better sooner but it is not so good for you.
You need fluids, rest, antibiotics and nourishment in more or less that order and you need to stay where you are warm and dry, so don't try to drag yourself to work as soon as you can stand upright for ten minutes! there are a lot of flu medications that do make you feel better for a few hours but they do not make you better and they do not prevent you from being infectious while they encourage you to deplete your strength! use them, by all means, for the relief they give but do not trust them as any sort of cure.

yes that's the reason

please don't go out and infect other people
thank you

Try Green Tea with honey and eat lots of fruits and veggies. Avoid animal products altogether (except maybe a little fish or poultry) until you get your strength back. Best of luck~Spence

Yes!
Try to drink as much liquid as possible! It seems to flush the gunk out of your body. It's probably all you can stand, anyway.
Get as much rest as possible, too. Your body needs rest to heal itself.

You poor thing! That is a bad combination to have all at once.....yes, of course, those 3 together will cause you to feel extremely ill. Drink lots of fluids and rest as much as you can.
