Hi, my friend was going to try these but decided not to after seeking some advice;
They do give you a 'tan', but in a very bad way. It has carotene in it which gives your skin a more orange shade, but not your entire body! It goes to the fat cells under the skin where it can cling, so looks more like an orange ripple effect on places like the bottom of your arms, your bum and thighs, basically any curves where we collect fat.
They can also make the whites of your eyes look a little yellow!

i doubt it!

i doubt they will work if you want to get a tan... i suggest coconut oil or carrott oil... healthier to use than tablets, who knows what they can do to your body? they might turn you orange??

i use oxo grave granules. and you can get different shades, chicken oxo is lighter and the beef one is darker..but one thing to remember that fly's could be a problem in the summer ok... so just walk very fast every were and you should be ok..

I think it's more that it prepares your skin for high levels of sun exposure. If you don't tan normally it's because you have low levels of melanin in your skin, these tablets won't up your melanin levels.

Yes, taking massive dosages of beta carotine, will give you a nice ORANGE color, .. . .basically the same as a carrot.

There are better ways. . Go for one of the spray on tans. They look better and are not as risky as massive dosages of vitamins (which Beta carotine is a type of)

hope this helps

No it is at best an exaggeration and an over-simplification. People on normal Western diets do not need ANY vitamin supplements and exceeding the RDA of any vitamin is unhelpful, In the case of water soluble vitamins excess is just peed out. In the case of fat soluble vitamins they can accumulate and be toxic. Vitamin A in excess becomes toxic to the retina of the eye. As far as tan is concerned excess vitamin A does not give a tan, though it can literally turn you an orange colour!
