Question: I called once about a matter, only then they did not have poison control center. I called the ER. My daughter, shame on me, caught me
with my back turned and took a swig of fabric softener. At least
I thought she did or was afraid she did. I was not careless with my
children. They can be very quick and it only takes one time. I learned
my lesson. I was fortunate. She didn't usually do things like that.
I think there is an age where theya re more likely to do these
things and you almost have to put things under lock and key. If you call poison control, have the substance in your hand
if possible, the bottle, can, or container so you can read it to them. Don't
argue with yourself about it, CALL. Don't worry about being embarrassed. DON'T WORRY WHAT THEY WILL SAY OR THINK,
WHO CARES. CALL. ASK.

My kid ate laundry soap. Turns out lots of kids eat laundry soap. She's fine now - and older and wiser.
