When i feel strong emotions or have strong feelings my body temperature increase!


Question: why is this?

its like every cell in my body is burning up....it dont have to be a strong emotions...just anything that involves some sort of feelings attached. It happens most times when im with people im not familiar with, i not particularly shy...idk

I think it's adrenaline, I get the same way. Getting "fired" up is the term I believe they use for this. It also sounds like you might have some anxiety, your bodies chemicals are reacting to this by heating up....

that happens me when i get nervous.. i dont know why though.. its really weird..

Whenever your are uncomfortable your body is under some sort of stress. This is called the flight or fight response. It involves the sympathetic nervous system (a word full of jargon, I know) controlled primarily by epinephrine (adrenaline) release by your adrenal glands. Whenever your body gets into this state your blood pressure increases, your breathing rate increases and at the same time your body is breaking down sugars for energy. Most of your blood vessels dilate to get more blood into your muscles and skin. The increase in blood flow and metabolism is why you feel heat when you have those emotions.

Depending on how stressed you are, at times you won't "feel" your heart or breathing rate increase but you will feel the hot flash or heat.
