I have raynauds phenomenon, which is a condition that causes a loss of blood flow to the fingers, toes, nose or ears. My hands and feet are often cold and purple. I have to watch out for cold weather because I can get frostbit easily. But when I get hot my hands and feet swell and get red. The best thing you can do is get lots of exercise, which should help you so it get your blood moving. Also, press your finger down on the back of your hand and see how long it takes for the color to come back. If it takes awhile you'll know that you have relatively poor circulation. Hope this helps, ask your doctor about it.

have you been wearing the shoes of a Smurf?

Discoloration of that nature usually indicates poor circulation of blood and O2 to the area.

Of course, it COULD just be the cold too.

Get it checked by a doc.

Good luck!
