Tragus piercing?!
Question: i want to get my tragus pierced but only know one place that does it and they are totally professional but uses a gun. ive already had my helix done twice there and it was fine. is it really that bad...as long as its done professionally???

I had my done about 4 years ago, they didn't use a gun, the worst part was them trying to get a grip enough to push the needle through...It didn't hurt at all...although I recommend putting a ring in it right off the bat because a stud hurts due to the swelling. I'd take my time and find someone that can do that for you to spare you the pain of switching it when it's sore. I slept just fine and the only thing that sucked was doing my hair and catching it in my brush, but after a week I didn't do it anymore and I was used to it.I loOOVVEE my piercing and I get complements on it all the time! GO FOR IT!

I have a friend who got it done and said it hurt MAJORLy. you also can't sleep on that side of your head for awhile.
I have a tragus piercing and I would never ever have someone do it with a gun. Mine was done with a needle and although the healing process what painful, I feel it was well worth it.
Don't let someone use a gun on your ear. The gun has a too high of an impact and can shatter the cartiilidge and ruin your ear. As well if this piercing is not done with precision and care there is a nerve in your tragus that, if severed, can cause your face to become paralyzed. It is essenial to not let this piercing become infected for that exact reason. I reccomend that you meditate on this idea for a while, and if you go through with it take extra care of it.
